Hey 2012!

Oh hello blog!  I've been taking a wee break from you.  You see, I wanted to spend some time with the family for the Holidays, then of course I got sick!  Ha...  I'm on the mend now.  So, with the end of the year come and gone I'll go over what's been happening...

Thanks to Ermie (JPD)...  Jennifer the package was beautiful and cheered up my X-mas by waves!!!  Love to Jennifer, she makes the most amazing clothes and her designs are like heaven on earth...  For sure.  I took a few shots of the scarf she sent my way (it's the Venice Spectrum Print, so grateful.  The photos are not the best!  :)

Since I became as sick as a dog, I decided to make Elderberry Garlic Honey, a variation on a Russian Folk Remedy. (below)

and then my husband took it up a notch and made Elderberry Syrup.  This has been the best thing ever, since my daughter and I both have the same cold.  Thanks C!!! (below photo)

and thus a big pot of homemade Lentil/ Ginger Veggie Soup...  (below picture)

so for New Year's Ever we were at a family wedding.  That's me on the far right making a funny face, Iris is being held by C and he's taking the photo, above Iris is her Uncle Matt.  (below photo)  It snowed finally during this wedding so we got a White NYE!!!  It was so cold we left the party at around 11 pm or so...

and the awesome high chair at the hall where the wedding was held.  This chair has probably been there since C was in high school!  Festive enough for the 2012... Yes!!!
