Really beautiful! I'm going to dye a bunch of t-shirts for my Kinder Art class this weekend. What does adding black rice do? I'm excited to experiment!
Thanks Cheryl <3 I just used the grains (anything works) as a sort of resist barrier for tying around, like instead of rocks or a stick or thread and bunched the grains inside the cloth. There the bleach either went more white or stayed purple, it was more just me playing around:D Also you can make an actual dye resist paste with cooked rice:) but it takes more time (yuzen technique). I'm excited for you sounds like it will be fun!
