Enoch's Work

Lately with soccer over and the colder days setting in the kids and I have been making things here at the house.  I was on photoshop and decided I'd show Enoch he could paint his own something.  He whipped up this little guy (above) and was excited afterwards.  He wants to make more.  It's nice to see how happy putting a piece of work together makes the kiddos.
He made a few watercolors too.
Really helps lighten things up to see them smile:)
Every fall welcomes us with bursts of really cool colors.  Still I always end up a little homesick.
I begin thinking of tamales and panaderias.  Grandma's and our splurge on margaritas accompanying enchiladas slathered in green or red sauce or anything along those lines.  Those days are gone but I can close my eyes and hear the mariachis playing and see Grandma dancing her heart away.
Want to bring those feelings of warmth and comfort to my family.  Just happiness at the simplest of cost and easy.  Obviously sans the margaritas (maybe just for mom and dad) for the kids but yes to everything else .
Looking forward to creating new traditions especially with day of the dead approaching but we'll see what I can realistically get done...  Ha!
