And an indoor garden startup/ painting update on Friday!  Thanks for being so patient with me.  This cold is the pits and well i can have a tendency to be a major procrastinator, deadly combo indeed.  Also, been feeling a little uninspired lately by my little old town but I did manage to snap a few photos on Tues. (below is a teaser of some of the photos I will post on Fri.), it got me out of the house.  Cheers to that!

Dusty Rose Knows and the Violet Sweet Hunt.

After leaving Portland, Oregon I realize I took a lot for granted while I was there...  Ack, cliche I know.
But here where I am aptly fitting, in Algona/ Iowa it's like being in a hunter's post high in the tree.
I'm covered in camoflouge, only I don't like killing deer or Canadian geese much.  So what would the purpose of me in a hunter's tower be?

It's foggy outside my window and there is still snow on the ground.  I feel as though I am waiting in a suspension tank or the set of a unicorn ranch at night.  All the unicorns are allowed to eat is the violet, ground ivy and mint leaves that grow at their feet.  Definitely feels like I need a visit to the butterfly shaman in the field far from here.  She's was my favorite grandma and now I forgot what she
has to tell me but I remember it was important and comforting.
A few days ago, I saw my first Cardinal of the fall season.  Chris and I
were driving in the alley near the church parking lot next to the tire playground seeing our
son and his cousin and their Grandma.  The Cardinal appeared in front of our car
as we drove thru the 'ordinary looking' birds. Actually it seemed dirty at first but when it began
to fly and a muted red shined so bright, flowing from it's body.
I thought awesome he's red!
Feeling low today needing something new to see.
I found this.
