I'm originally from small town in Los Angeles County, California. I miss California like crazy today. Feeling like getting a burrito on my very, very old stomping grounds of the Mission in San Francisco, CA. Filled with fresh warm deliciousness! Oh well, maybe I can learn to make soyrizo from scratch. I like where I'm at for now here in the midwest. Don't get me wrong. It's just that there is kinda a secret goal, not so secret now, of ours to be living out on the West Coast once more. But till then gotta focus on the Iowa life and keeping the children and ourselves happy. I love the photos of the California Poppy bike gang, they are really representing! Also, I can't tell you how strong of a link there is between California Poppies and my childhood in the semi-desert valley where I grew up. I'd spend hours on the steep slope next to my parent's house dreaming of moving to a more happenin' town filled with the noises of the city and staring into the orange poppies and feeling like there was hope of something more. Just sayin'. Happy Wednesday.
And in honor of the bright spirit of youth there is this period 1971 movie about two english teenagers in love, semi-corny (but endearing) 70's pop songs and sweet cinematography...
