homage to the los angeles roots

C and I made 24 tamales over the weekend.  I had two today for lunch and the rest are freezing quietly. It's the best investment of my time and very fulfilling ( we can't seem to stop eating them).  Thanks C!  For making the tempeh/ homemade spanish rice and black bean filling.  These vegan tamales were delicious.  And made me think of home. More soon. : )
