thatched roof.
been sitting on these and seemed like a good moment to post.
with the advent of our sudden move to the midwest (now a very hearty 2 years ago), we are wondering where to next. but actually, that is living in a time that has yet to happen so i gotta kinda reel that in. but whatever i'm doing now i want to put energy into a sort of self sufficiency. so that feeling dependant on outside resources won't be so frustrating.

That kitchen picture and the pueblo illustration are great. If you ever want to check out northern NM, you guys would be welcome to stay with us once we get somewhat settled! midwest exodus
hi jesse! thanks:) that would be awesome. <333 i have been wanting to see parts of nm for a long while. we might have to take you up on that generous offer... mw pilgrimage in the making. in the meantime hope your move will go smoothly and all that!
Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures! I’ve seen some of these roof types, but never found out their name. These are interesting, particularly the one made of dried skin. It’s good to learn how roofing evolved from the ancient times to this modern day. I just hope there are still houses that use some of these roofing types, so they won’t be extinct.
